About Us

We are a team of highly passionate Dental professionals based at Essential Dental – Hitchin’s central NHS Dental Practice in Hertfordshire.

Essential Dental will reopen from the 15th June.

When you call a member of the team will triage you and if feasible book you an appointment.• They will go through several COVID-19 questions with you to ensure it is safe for you to attend your appointment.
• We will be operating card payment only going forward, and we will request that payment is made over the phone for your appointment before you attend.
• The practice door will be locked so please call when you arrive, and a member of staff will invite you in and record your temperature and ask you to use
hand sanitiser. If your temperature is above 37.8°C, we will ask you to kindly rebook your appointment.
• One adult/carer is able to attend with a child or vulnerable adult, please do not bring additional family members with you, they will not have access to the
building.
• Please minimise the amount of personal belongings with you as you will be asked to put them in a box that will remain in the waiting room.
• The toilet at the practice will not be in use.
• All dental staff will be using personal protective equipment in line with current recommendations and evidence. We apologies in advance for the necessary
reduction in social interaction that this may cause and the difference in our appearance.
